Well here we go again, with the season winding down and the Cards chasing the Braves for the Wild Card Matt Holliday injures his hand while swinging a bat in the on deck circle. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch speculates left fielder Matt Holliday might miss most of the remainder of the regular season. I hope not because we need his bat in the line up. Holliday did return to St. Louis on Wednesday to have his hand examined, according to the Cardinals' website.
"I'm concerned," Holliday told the newspaper. "I've never done anything like before. You hope it's just a bruise or something and maybe it's a couple of days or a day."
With the Cardinals behind 4 1/2 games from the Braves it will be even tougher to compete if you lose Holliday for the rest of the season.
