A few days ago I was happy to hear that the Cardinals were planning to sign Berkman to a year one year deal. With the negoitations going on it soon came to an abrupt halt. This morning on the morning news, (FOX2) Berkman was being interviewed in regards to the contract. Lance came out and said he wants a one year deal and he wants to be paid. So both sides are now trying to iron this out. This year he made 8mil for one year. He wants to get paid a little bit more. He wants to be paid what he is worth. The Cardinals may come back with a incentive laden contract.
