1. Are the Mets considering resigning P Chris Capuano? I mean, if they aren’t, then why in the hell didn’t they sell him to Boston for a couple of sheckles? I’m sure we weren’t talking big bucks here… probably the remainder of his salary this year and a little more… I mean, anything to help pay Bobby Bo, right?
2. So, scientists now have managed to get some form of molecule to go faster than the speed of light, something everyone said was impossible to do. Even Albert Einstein seems to have had this wrong. So, let me ask you… does this mean we can go back and get Tom Seaver are bring him to spring training in 2012?
3. Josh Satin is going to play winter ball for the Venezuelan team managed by Tim Teufel. Good. Satin has a good chance of remaining in Queens next year as a utility infielder/outfielder. He can play first, second, and both corner outfielders, frankly as good as, or better, than some of the starters. But, he’s a Met because of his bat which is just as potent as Daniel Murphy. Have you noticed all the players in the Mets season that can only hit? Satin, Murphy, Lucas Duda, Jefry Marte, Aderlin Rodriguez, and Wilmer Flores. Thanks Omar.
4. Yeah, I did go see “Moneyball” and I liked it. More importantly, my wife loved it and she hates baseball. The best story I can tell about her and baseball was the fact that she was taken to a Mets game for a date with a guy that kept a permanent record of every game he went to, in a leather scorebook, in ink. The dude had to go to the bathroom and gave the pen and book to my bride and asked her to keep it up. She looked at the “4-3”, “8”, and “K” entries, had no friggin idea what to write, and put a capital “DK” in the next two batter’s box. The date came back and asked her what the entry meant, and she answered: “Don’t Know”.
5. By the time you read this, the Big Market Mets could be back in business. Beginning today, the judge in the Madoff suit trial could rule in favor of the Wilpon family and all this austerity will go down the drain. I just can’t see how someone can prove that you knew your money was being invested illegally and you also kept your money in the fund as it started to go down. In the past, I’ve said that members of the Wilpon family weren’t rocket scientists, but this theory surely tests even their levels of incompetency.
