Mets Analysis – St. Lucie SPs

Let me first say something.

Things are going to get real crowded at the next two levels.

You not only have some pitchers that need to repeat here, and those that should be promoted here, but also draft picks that should be started here. Somebody has to go, so let’s see if we can figure it out:

Darin Gorski – 21-starts – 11-3, 1.98, 118-K, 122.2-IP, 26-BB

Zack Wheeler – 6-starts – 2-2, 2.00, 31-K, 27.0-IP, 5-BB

Scott Moviel – 23-starts – 5-10, 5.29, 62-K, 114.0-IP, 33-BB

Kyle Allen – 20-starts – 5-11, 6.59, 62-K, 86.0-IP, 47-BB

Armondo Rodriguez – 16-starts – 4-4, 3.96, 74-K, 75-IP, 29-BB

Greg Peavey – 10-starts – 4-3, 4.24, 29-K, 46.2-IP, 13-BB

Others, like Mike Harvey, Collin McHugh, and Jeurys Famila have moved on.

There’s also recent addition Adrian Rosario, who pitched a bunch of games at this level out of the pen. I think the Mets will give him a shot to win a Binghamton rotation spot in April.

Gorski and Rodriquez will both move up to Binghmaton, while Peavey will be the lone returnee in the rotation.

Lots of new guys here. Five might arrive from Savannah… Taylor Whitenton, Ryan Fraser, Angel Cuan, Yohan Almonte, and Gonzalez German.  In addition, There’s three college draft picks (Tyler Pill, Alex Panteliodis, Logan Verrett) that could all start at this level.

IMO, April:  Peavey, Pill, Cuan, Whitenton, Fraser/Almonte piggy, Germen to pen

June:  Pill, Panteliodis, Eric Goeddel, Cuan, Whitenton
