Tommy Joseph, c, Horizon HS (AZ)
Joseph has been gaining some momentum late in the draft period and he could go as high as the first or supplemental round. While his receiving isn't anything special (he's a massive 6-1, 215 lbs.), Joseph has arm strength and draws raves for his bat. He is extremely strong and has gigantic raw power, which could intrigue many a team choosing early on Tuesday.
Nick Franklin, ss, Lake Brantley HS (FL)
Franklin has gotten some Michael Young comps, and he's a true gamer with an outstanding feel for hitting just like the Rangers infielder. Franklin, a switch-hitter, also has good makeup and could remain at short at the next level. Whether that is in the pros or at Auburn remains to be seen, but he's been doing it all on the diamond of late, meaning the former possibility is much stronger.
Brody Colvin, rhp, St. Thomas More HS (LA)
Another prepster with early-round aspirations, Colvin has upside to dream on. He has a projectable frame (6-4, 190), a loose arm that can deliver low-90s fastball, and a filthy (but inconsistent) curveball. He struggles to repeat his pitching motion, maintain all his pitches at their top level, and throw strikes. In other words, Colvin is a typical high-risk, high-reward high school option. He is athletic and has lots of room to grow, and he has signed with LSU.
