Brendan Ryan Speaks Out
When the news got back to Brendan Ryan about the trade for Ryan Theriot as the new short-stop he had this response to the media: "You want to be where you're wanted," Ryan said Wednesday from his native Southern California, where he spends the offseason. "I owe everything to the Cardinals. It's my home. They made my dreams of being in the major leagues come true. They gave me a shot. ... As for projecting what this means, I'm keeping quiet for the first time in my life, and let's see how things unfold."
Tonight at 11pm St.Louis is when the Cardinals offer arbitration to Ryan, more than likely the Cardinals will offer him arbitration. They will be able to trade him for an A+ player. Ryan doesn't want to go, he wants to stay a Cardinal. but it looks like the Cards are pushing him out the door.
