Vanderbilt's Recruiting Class

Vanderbilt has brought in some outstanding recruiting classes of late. Former recruiting coordinator Erik Bakich, known in college baseball circles to be an up-and-comer, left to fill the head coaching vacancy at Maryland, but the Commodores replaced him with another top-notch recruiter in Josh Holliday. Vandy has signed another strong class for the 2011 season, including five players on the PnR Scouting's Top 300 Draft Prospects list and two that appear on Baseball America's Top 100 High School list. The 'Dores now have the tough task of getting all of these recruits through the draft without them going pro. A look at the commits that I know of so far:

Kevin Ziomek, LHP, Amherst Regional HS (MA)

Conrad Gregor, 1B, Carmel HS (IN)

Robbie Ray, LHP, Brentwood HS (TN)

Joel McKeithan, SS, T.C. Roberson HS (NC)

TJ Pecoraro, RHP, Half Hollow Hills West HS (NY)

Spencer Navin, C, Dowling Catholic HS (IA)

Others
Josh Lee, IF, Independence High School (TN)
Steven Rice, LHP, Crawfordsville HS (IN)
