Cardinals Targeting Jeremy Hellickson

With the rumors of the Rays wanting Colby Rasmus for quite a while now, it is now we finally find out who the Cardinals coveting if a trade was to be made for Rasmus.
Hellickson entered the season as one of the top three pitching prospects in baseball, and he’s very much in the Rookie of the Year race with an 8-7 record and a 3.21 ERA in 16 starts for the Rays.
I believe a trade like this would be nuts for the Rays franchise. Hellickson will be making minimum till 2013 and will become a free agent until 2016. I can't see the Rays moving Hellickson. If they where to move a pitcher it might be Jeff Niemann. If the Cards and Rays where to get close to this kind of deal I am sure the Rays would ask for a top prospect like Shelby Miller or Jordan Swagerty. I would love to have Hellickson but once again the Rays may not let go of him. The saga continues,
