For the first time in Texas Rangers History, the Rangers are going to the World Series. This team beat the Yanks fair and square. They out pitched and out hit the Yankees. Congrats to the Rangers and Nolan Ryan. This franchise happens to be a deep rooted team that is adored by my McBrayer side of the family that hails from Texas. Since 1972 this team was taken in and loved by my Texas Family. They enjoyed the likes of Frank Howard, Fergie Jenkins, and Toby Harrah during its first few years in Texas. In the early 80's I took noticed in the Rangers team as a young man watching Saturday Afternoon Baseball being aired on tv with my dad. I remember players like Buddy Bell. Bucky Dent and an aging right handed pitcher Charlie Hough. These guys where fun to watch and made baseball fun. They where my adopted AL team for a long time. I wish this team a successful world series for the town of Dallas and my McBrayer Family. Go Rangers!!!
