For the first time ever Derek Jeter is a Free Agent, this is the first time in his sixteen year career with the Yanks. Jeter wants to return to the Bronx and finish his career with the Yanks. Hal Steinbrenner says he "absolutely wants" Jeter back, but "there's always the possibility that things could get messy" during negotiations.
So what if things get messy for Jeter and he is not able to return to the Yankees, what other teams might be intrested in Derek Jeter. Lets ponder where he could possibly land if things get too messy.
My top five destinations would be:
5. The Dodgers, he would love the west-coast. The fans would love his style of play but leave after the seventh inning
4. New York Mets, what a great slap in the face that would be.
3. San Diego Padres, they need a hero that could lead this franchise back to a winning franchise.
2. Boston Redsox, an ultimate slap in the face.
1. St.Louis Cardinals, man what a great line up this would be with Holliday, Pujols and Jeter?
