Since the Mets have financial problems they will not be offering Reyes a huge contract after 2011. The Mets would like to keep him but at a cheaper price. There is a chance that Reyes may go into the free agent market for more money. So the Mets may consider trading Reyes. According to ESPN, they believe that the Cardinals maybe intrested in Jose Reyes since the players they have not improved the middle infield at all. The Cardinals had intrest in Reyes back in 2010. This might be a good match, but what would the Cardinals give up? Lance Lynn?
Would love to have him. Great lead off guy with speed. Had 30 stolen bases last year but had best high in 2007 with 78 stolen bases. I would say lets make the trade.
